Can the people in my circle see where I am?
No. No one can request your location or watch your movement, and there is no map of you to look at. Your circle sees your state and your check-ins: that you're okay, when you say so.
How do you say “Aikra,” and is there AI in the name?
It's pronounced EYE-krah. And no — the “ai” isn't “artificial intelligence.” Aikra takes its name from aikido, the martial art of redirection: you don't meet force with more force, you blend with it and guide it past. Ai is harmony, the coming-together; ki is energy, life. Aikra is that idea turned toward safety — it doesn't answer fear with an alarm, it redirects it into one honest read and the quiet knowledge that someone knows you're okay. The app's judgment is authored by people and drawn from official sources; nothing it tells you is generated.
What happens if I don't respond to a check-in?
If you go quiet longer than you meant to, Aikra nudges you first, privately. Only continued silence quietly lets your circle know you haven't checked in. No alarms, no red screens, no sirens, ever. People get busy, and the product knows it. And the escalation reaches people who love you, not an operator or the police.
What does Aikra actually store about me?
Your most recent check-in, at neighborhood level. That's the list. Precise location never leaves your device, no history is kept, and nothing is ever sold. Data that doesn't exist can't be weaponized.
What if law enforcement asks for my data?
We can only produce what we hold, and by design we hold almost nothing: no location history, no movement, no map. We can't hand over what was never collected, and we will publish transparency reports about any requests we receive.
Can I leave, pause, or go quiet without anyone knowing?
Yes. Pause sharing, exit a circle, turn off auto check-in, or use Ghost Mode: silent, invisible, and no one is notified. Your safety includes safety from this app.
What happens when Aikra can't read my area?
The orb dims and says so: "Still with you. I can't read the area right now, and I haven't gone anywhere." It never goes dark and never pretends. Where a city withholds live data, the panel says "recent, not live" in plain words.
How much does it cost?
Free in beta. When pricing arrives it will be honest and simple, and peace of mind for your circle will never sit behind a countdown timer.
